Galle Fort

The Galle Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a historical jewel in Sri Lanka. Its origins trace back to the Portuguese in the 16th century, with significant enhancements by the Dutch in the 17th century, and later, British influences. Best visited during the Winter Season and starting from the month of October to end of May each year.

Climate/Weather:

Weligama usually experiences calmer beaches during the period from October to May. However, sudden rains are expected given Sri Lanka is a tropical island.
