This is the Surfers 101 in Sri Lanka. One of the easiest beaches in Sri Lanka to learn Surfing and one of the biggest beach stretches as well.

- Notes: Either in the morning or evening mostly. During the day time (noon), it's very difficult to surf as the sun is very strong.
Whale watching at mirissa
Mirissa, on Sri Lanka's south coast, is a world-renowned hotspot for whale and dolphin watching. The warm waters here attract a spectacular array of cetaceans. The majestic blue whale, the largest animal on Earth, is the star attraction. You may also encounter Bryde's whales, sperm whales, and even the elusive killer whale (orca). Pods of playful dolphins, including spinner, bottlenose, and Risso's dolphins, are frequent sights, leaping and frolicking alongside boats. Whale watching season in Mirissa runs from November to April, offering the best chances for sightings. Galle Fort
The Galle Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a historical jewel in Sri Lanka. Best visited during the Winter Season and starting from the month of October to end of May each year.
Climate/Weather:
Weligama usually experiences calmer beaches during the period from October to May. However, sudden rains are expected given Sri Lanka is a tropical island.
